I am a freelance writer and photographer, specialising in feature articles for magazines.

I was a prolific contributor to motorboat magazines for several years but when I sold my boat, I turned my attention to Family History research and have written extensively for the national-circulation magazine Your Family Tree.

In the last twelve months I have been a guest lecturer on four long cruises - ranging from Caribbean islands to the Black Sea. My early lectures were on Researching Family History and later topics have included Photography for Holidaymakers and Port Lectures about the various destinations on the ship's itinerary.

In the week 9th to 15th August 2008, the members of the Writers' Summer School will be celebrating their Diamond Jubilee at The Hayes, Derbyshire. Their website can be seen at www.wss.org.uk. I will be leading a 4-part course on Modern Technology for Writers.
